| AmeriGas Partners, L.P., through its subsidiary, AmeriGas Propane, L.P., engages in the distribution of propane in the United States. The partnership also sells, installs, and services propane appliances, including heating systems, as well as propane fuel systems for motor vehicles. Its propane is used in various applications, including home heating, space heating, water heating, pool/spa heating, drying, cooking, grilling, and motor fuel. AmeriGas Propane, Inc. serves as the general partner of the partnership. As of September 30, 2004, it served approximately 1.3 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and motor fuel customers from approximately 650 district locations in 46 states.
