Wood segment manufactures and sells wood furniture, including bedroom and dining suites, and accent pieces to independent and affiliated retailers. Upholstery segment manufactures and sells upholstered frames and cut upholstery items, which have various frame and fabric options, including sofas, chairs, and love seats. Import segment sources product, primarily from Asia, and sells it to independent and affiliated retailers. Retail segment operates 12 Bassett Furniture Direct stores in North Carolina, Nevada, and Texas. The companys furniture products and accessories are sold through a retail store network of 116 retail stores, known as Bassett Furniture Direct, of which 93 are independently owned, 12 are owned and controlled, and 11 are operated by joint ventures, as well as approximately 1,000 furniture and department stores located throughout the United States.
