SPACEHAB Flight Services segment engages in payload scheduling, mission planning, safety analysis and certification, physical integration with a carrier, integration of carriers with the space shuttle, flight operations, data gathering and synthesis, and launch and landing site activities. SPACEHAB Government Services segment supports the Government in the areas of large-scale configuration and data management programs, such as the International Space Station; specialized design, development, and fabrication of space hardware; low to high-fidelity mockup design and construction; and safety and quality support services. Astrotech Space Operations segment provides satellite processing facilities and support services for satellite manufacturing and launch services industries, including commercial, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and department of defense customers. In addition, it provides payload processing and facilities maintenance support. Space Media segment provides space education and retail goods services, ranging from outfitting a space exhibit, to providing astronaut product endorsements. The company has strategic alliances with EADS Space Transportation, RSC Energia, and Mitsubishi Corporation. SPACEHAB was incorporated in 1984 and is headquartered in Webster, Texas. |
