BHP Billiton Limited’s properties are located in Australia, Latin America, and southern Africa. The company was incorporated in 1885 as The Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited and changed its name to BHP Limited, and then to BHP Billiton Limited in 2001. BHP Billiton Limited is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia.
