It offers 2,700 branded and private-label products, including cleaners, degreasers, deodorizers, stain removers, and laundry products; brooms, brushes, and mops; finishes and waxes, strippers, sealers, and maintainers; custom brush components for original equipment manufacturer applications; and hair and skin care products, fragrances, cosmetics, vitamins, and nutritional supplements. The company also develops, manufactures, packages, distributes, and markets branded and private-label chemicals and equipment for color photographic, health care, and graphic arts applications. These products include liquid chemicals for developing silver halide photographic film, photographic paper, and radiographic and graphic arts film; chemical mixers for health care and graphic arts imaging; silver recovery and pollution control equipment and supplies; illuminators for viewing medical X-rays; dry-heat sterilizers used in dental practices; and dental evacuation units. CPAC sells its products through a direct sales force, distributors, and manufacturers' representatives in North America and internationally. The company was founded as Computerized Pollution Abatement Corporation in 1969 by Thomas N. Hendrickson and changed its name to CPAC, Inc. in 1976. CPAC is headquartered in Leicester, New York.
