Fairchild distributes rotable parts, such as flight data recorders, radar and navigation systems, instruments, hydraulic and electrical components, space components, and certain defense-related items to commercial airlines and air cargo carriers, fixed-base operators, corporate aircraft operators, distributors, and other aerospace companies in the United States. The company also manufactures precision machined structural components and assemblies used in aircrafts as pylons, flap hinges, struts, wing fittings, landing gear, and in other applications. In addition, it owns, operates, and leases a foot shopping center located in Farmingdale, New York. Fairchild Corporation was incorporated in 1969 and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
