First BanCorp. Operates as the holding company for FirstBank Puerto Rico, which provides various financial services in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and British Virgin Islands. The bank attracts various deposits, including individual and commercial checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and IRA accounts. It originates residential real-estate loans, commercial real-estate loans, and construction loans, as well as consumer loans that comprise personal, auto, boat, credit card, and small loans.
