The companys technology also includes Medusa, a nano-particulate technology that delivers therapeutic proteins, peptides, and small molecules. This technology permits the controlled-release of proteins without the denaturation or other effects on such proteins of various other delivery systems. Its application for Medusa technology is Basulin, which is long-acting insulin for the treatment of diabetes. In addition, the company develops a patented biomaterial, ColCys.
