Gaylord Entertainment Company, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a hospitality company focusing primarily on the group meetings segment of the lodging market in North America. Its hospitality business includes Gaylord branded hotels that consist of Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee; Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center near Orlando, Florida; and Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center near Dallas, Texas. The company also owns and operates the Radisson Hotel at Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, the company provides vacation condominium and home rental property management services in destination resort locations in the United States and Canada, with a branded network of vacation rental properties. Further, the company owns and operates various attractions in Nashville, including the Grand Ole Opry, a live country music variety show. As of December 31, 2004, ResortQuest provided management services to approximately 18,000 vacation rental properties, as well as managed approximately 600 vacation rental units located in Whistler, British Columbia. The company also owns a 26.6% interest in Bass Pro, Inc., a retailer of outdoor sporting goods and fishing tackle. Gaylord Entertainment was incorporated in 1956 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.
