Grupo Financiero Galicia S.A. operates as the holding company for Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A. (bank), which provides a variety of banking products and services to large corporations, medium-and small-sized companies, and individuals. The bank offers various services, including personal and corporate loans, deposit-taking, credit and debit cards, residential mortgage loans, fiduciary and custodial services, and electronic banking. Further, it provides international financing services, foreign trade services, and factoring services. As of December 31, 2003, it offered services through 226 service branches, 555 automated teller machines, and 524 self-service terminals in Argentina. The company was formed in 1999 and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
