The company was founded in 1923 by Henry Hassenfeld and Helal Hassenfeld under the name Hassenfeld Brothers. It changed its name to Hasbro Industries in 1968 and then to Hasbro, Inc. in 1985. Hasbro is headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
