The company also sells turkey products, as well as markets and sells ready beef and pork through joint venture with Precept Foods, LLC. In addition, HFC provides nutritional food products and supplements, sugar and sugar substitutes, salt and pepper products, dessert mixes, and industrial gelatin products. The company sells its products through its sales personnel, as well as through independent brokers and distributors. HFC was founded by George A. Hormel in 1891 as George A. Hormel & Company and changed its name to Hormel Foods Corporation in 1995. Hormel Foods is headquartered in Austin, Minnesota.
