Learning Tree International, Inc. engages in the development, marketing, and delivery of a library of courses, which are designed to meet the training needs of managers and information technology (IT) professionals working in business and government organizations. It provides courses that cover, such IT topics as Web development, operating systems, programming languages, databases, computer networks, computer and network security, object-oriented technology, management, key business skills, and other related topics. Learning Tree offers the Training Passports and Training Vouchers multiple-course discount programs; and also provides the Learning Tree Professional Certification Programs. Training Passports allow an individual Passport holder to attend up to a specified number of courses during a 12-month period. The company sells these Passports as either four-course or eight-course Passports. The Training Voucher program allows customers to buy blocks of five or more Vouchers for future Learning Tree courses to be taken by any person in the client company over a 12-month period. The companys Learning Tree Professional Certification Program, certifies IT professionals in a various functions within the areas of Learning Trees focus. This program focuses on imparting skills necessary to master a specific job function. The company delivers courses primarily at its leased education centers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Sweden, and Japan. It also conducts such course events in hotels and conference facilities, and at customer sites. The company was co founded by David C. Collins in 1974 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
