MetroGAS S.A. operates as a natural gas distribution company in Argentina. The company sells gas, as well as offers transportation and distribution services to residential, industrial, and commercial customers; governmental entities; and power plants; as well as to suppliers of, and dealers in, compressed natural gas used as vehicle fuel. Its distribution system consists of approximately 15,780 kilometers of principal and service-distribution mains and service pipelines. The gas purchased by the company is transported through Argentina's two trunk pipeline systems, which are operated by Transportadora de Gas del Sur and Transportadora de Gas del Norte. MetroGAS S.A. was formed in 1992 and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
