It sells products and related services to a range of healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, integrated delivery networks, and specialty care facilities, which include nursing homes, ambulatory surgery centers, catheterization labs, and outpatient clinics in the United States, as well as markets through distributors in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. The company was founded in 1992 by Randall A. Lipps under the name Omnicell Technologies, Inc. and changed its name to Omnicell, Inc. in 2001. Omnicell is headquartered in Mountain View, California.
