Performance Food Group Company and its subsidiaries engage in the marketing and distribution of branded food and nonfood products to various customers in the foodservice industry primarily in the United States. The companys products include canned and dry groceries, fresh-cut produce, frozen foods, refrigerated and dairy products, paper products, and cleaning supplies. It serves through three segments: Broadline Foodservice Distribution (Broadline), Customized Foodservice Distribution (Customized), and Fresh-Cut Produce Processing (Fresh-cut). The Broadline segment markets and distributes national and proprietary brand food and nonfood products to street and chain customers through its 19 distribution facilities in the eastern, midwestern, and southern United States. The Customized segment serves casual and family dining chain restaurants in the United States, as well as some of its customer locations internationally. The Fresh-cut segment purchases, processes, packages, and distributes packaged, ready-to-eat salads, and other fresh-cut products to food retailers. It also distributes various fresh products offerings primarily to third party distributors. The company primarily serves independent restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, schools, healthcare facilities, and other institutional customers, as well as multiunit or chain customers, such as regional and national family, and casual dining and quick-service restaurants. Performance Food Group was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Lebanon, Tennessee.
