The companys products include various property and casualty reinsurance and insurance coverages, including marine, aviation, surety, errors and omissions liability, directors and officers liability, medical malpractice, other specialty lines, accident and health, workers compensation, as well as reinsurance of life and annuity business. Everest Re Group, through its subsidiaries, operates in five segments: U.S. Reinsurance, U.S. Insurance, Specialty Underwriting, International, and Bermuda. The U.S. Reinsurance segment writes property and casualty reinsurance, on both a treaty and facultative basis, through reinsurance brokers, as well as directly with ceding companies within the United States. The U.S. Insurance segment writes property and casualty insurance primarily through general agent relationships and surplus lines brokers within the United States. The Specialty Underwriting segment writes accident and health, marine, aviation, and surety business within the United States and worldwide through brokers and directly with ceding companies. The International segment writes property and casualty reinsurance through the companys branches in Canada and Singapore, in addition through the companys Miami and New Jersey offices. The Bermuda segment provides reinsurance and insurance to worldwide property and casualty markets, and reinsurance to life insurers through brokers and directly with ceding companies from its Bermuda office, and reinsurance to the United Kingdom and European markets, through brokers, from the United Kingdom branch. Everest Re Group is based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
