Sprint Corporation, a global communications company, through its subsidiaries, offers a range of communication products and solutions, including wireless, long distance voice and data transport, global Internet protocol (IP), and local and multiproduct bundles. It operates through three divisions: Wireless, Local, and Long Distance. Wireless division operates digital personal communications service wireless network with licenses to provide service in the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, using a single frequency band and a single technology. Local division provides local voice and data services, including digital subscriber line for customers within its franchise territories; access by phone customers and other carriers to the local network; nationwide long distance services to customers located within its franchise territories; sale of telecommunications equipment; and other services within specified calling areas to residential and business customers. It also offers wireless and video services to customers in its franchise territories through agency relationships. Long Distance division provides a suite of communications services targeted to domestic business and residential customers, multinational corporations, and other communications companies. These services include domestic and international voice and data communications using various protocols, such as IP, and frame relay and managed network services. Sprint Corporation is based in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
