The Consumer Products segment offers television sets, audio and video products, accessories, and home telephony products. The Licensing segment manages, develops, and provides third-parties licensing services for other industrial companies. Thomson also offers security, user interface, imaging, and networking software services, and mobile high definition television broadcasting equipment and set-top boxes. The company, formerly known as Thomson multimedia S.A., was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
